Content and Engagement Manager
A well-established brand with a global strategy, that prides itself on making people’s lives easier through frontier technology that creates enabling opportunities is looking for a dynamic Digital Content and Engagement manager who loves to produce world class content and manage the communities that we’re sharing this content with. You’ll be working closely with the Marketing team to create the narrative for a number of brand elements. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, excellent writer with a digital content, engagement and social media marketing background. The core role is to write and curate content and maintain and manage an efficient and agile online content production schedule for our social media platforms. We expect the candidate to proactively produce and publish engaging digital content on a daily basis, always aiming to improve output and engagement across platforms, help grow the brands online, and track and manage content performance. Person will also be responsible for the development and execution of Consumer Relation strategies, focusing on loyalty and retention marketing strategies.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in marketing/related field
- Must have strong creative writing skills and the ability to write powerful and compelling copy that will help position the brand correctly
- Must have the ability to understand the different language styles that appeal to various target markets
- Knowledge of additional South African languages will be a major advantage
- Knowledge of the informal retail trade market will be an advantage
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in digital marketing and social media
- Ability to tell stories that will motivate, influence and persuade
- Ability to articulate relevant and original ideas

- Strategize and create content that educates, engages the audience, nurtures leads, supports business goals and tells a brand story across multiple print and digital platforms
- Writing and creating for digital, below and above the line advertising, brand collateral, editorial, press releases, online and social content, presentations, packaging and more
- Use BI and analytics to inform segmenting and targeting and engaging users.
- Planning and delivering CRM strategies across the company encouraging customer retention and customer loyalty.
- Working closely with all departments to ensure the CRM works effectively for all aspects of the company.
- Overseeing direct communications with customers through the CRM.
- Develop the content strategy for the business focused on online and social channels, social content, and paid media strategies.
- Work with the creative team to define the voice and personality of the brand on social and ATL channels.
- Ensure the content created resonates with our target markets and is relevant and appropriate for each medium.
- Responsible for ensuring content in newsletters/online (website)/other channels is on brand.
