We have answered some important questions
To help you stay open during the national lockdown.

1. What goods CAN I sell during lockdown?
Basic goods like:
Airtime and electricity, any food product, non-alcoholic beverages, animal food, chemicals, cleaning and hygiene products, toilet paper, sanitary pads, sanitary tampons, condoms, hand sanitiser, disinfectants, soap, household cleaning products, and personal proactive equipment

 

2. What goods CAN’T I sell during lockdown?
You cannot, for example, sell alcohol and cigarettes.

 

3. What else should I do during the lockdown?
Do not make prices of essential goods higher than normal control the number of customers in your shop at any time.

 

4. What will happen if I do not follow the lockdown rules?
Your shop will be closed by the police you will be fined or imprisoned for up to 6 months.

 

5. Can I apply for financial support because of the lockdown?
You can email supportbusiness@wesgro.co.za for details of how to ask the government for financial support.
