Airtime

What is prepaid airtime vending?

Flash sells prepaid airtime and data for all the major networks (MTN, Vodacom, Cell C and Telkom), as well as a few of the smaller networks like Virgin Mobile, Neotel and WorldCall.

There are two ways the trader can sell airtime:
  • Selling airtime or data for a specific network
    • Voucher – the customer dials a network USSD string that is printed on the printed slip
    • Direct Top-Up (pinless) – the trader enters the customer’s MSISDN on the device and tops up the customer’s mobile balance with the paid for amount.
  • eeziAirtime
    • A unique airtime voucher created and sold by Flash, it can be loaded on any MTN, Vodacom, Cell C, Telkom, or Virgin Mobile account.
    • The customer dials a USSD string and receives a direct top-up back into their mobile account.

What is Global Airtime?

Global Airtime allows people in South Africa to send airtime home to loved ones in a foreign country.

What must I do if I want to send Global Airtime?

  • Provide the Flash Trader with the number you want to send airtime to
  • Take the amount of cash you want to send, you will then choose an amount to send based on the available amounts the receiving network allows.

What if I get an error message when trying to sell Global Airtime?

If the Global Airtime send doesn’t work, you will get an error message and a slip won’t be printed.

This could be because the recipient’s network doesn’t accept direct top ups, or because the wrong number has been entered into the Flash machine.

Can a Global Airtime transfer be cancelled or refunded?

Unfortunately not, neither of these are options. Once the airtime has been sent, it cannot be brought back for a refund.

Can I reprint successful Gobal Airtime slips?
