Senior Backend Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help design, build and operate the payment platforms at the heart of Flash. You'll work in a small, autonomous team shipping services that thousands of traders rely on daily.

What you'll do

• Design, build and maintain reliable, high-throughput payment services.

• Own services end-to-end, from design through deployment and monitoring.

• Collaborate with product and platform teams to ship customer value.

• Mentor engineers and raise the bar on code quality and reliability.

What you'll bring

• 5+ years building backend services in a production environment.

• Strong with a JVM language, Go, or similar; solid SQL and API design.

• Experience with distributed systems, queues and observability.

• A pragmatic approach to testing, reliability and security.

Nice to have

• Payments, fintech or high-compliance domain experience.

• Exposure to event-driven architectures and cloud infrastructure.
